Wood was last seen in Decatur, Alabama on April 1, 2000. He was riding a bicycle at the time of his disappearance. Wood left all of his personal belongings behind, including his wallet. He has never been heard from again.

Wood's loved ones told authorities that he has a history of leaving without warning. They said it is uncharacteristic of him to disappear for an extended period of time without contacting his family members. Wood enjoys river rafting, motorcycles, hunting and fishing. His case remains unsolved.
