Pearson disappeared before authorities arrived at the scene to take a report. His vehicle was discovered abandoned several days later near Henderson Camp Road. Pearson has never been heard from again. Investigators have not determined if his disappearance is related to the burglary.
Pearson was employed at a shipyeard in 2000. His case remains unsolved.
