Dear Brian,

It's 2 a.m. now, and I was just going to finally turn off my computer when I thought I really really should check your site (I've been following the Maddie-case quite closely since about May 7th, and sent you quite a lot of other comments, f.e. the one about this (http://www.take-a-trip.eu/uploads/pics_bezienswaardigheden_nl/Atomium.jpg) building), and I don't know why I felt that, but I did take a look.
And there I saw an amazing dream!!!!
Is it possible that you have ever heard about the '53 Flood? The 'Deltawerken' (= Delta Works)? Maybe on Discovery Channel or something (they're world famous). Please be very sure that this is a serious warning, and not linked to something you might already have seen....

For if not, that looks very scary..........

I don't know how much time you have now to check the stuff below and try to figure out more details, but you should know that if this comes true, it's going to be disastrous. Below is some information, I'll try to get you even more if you want me to. Also, I'm a student at the Technical University of Delft, not far away from "The Delta", and I'd do anything to make people know about your dream and prevent this from happening.

So here's what happened 55 years ago:

In 1953, the in Dutch so-called "Watersnoodramp" took more than 1800 lives when a disastrous combination of spring tide and a severe north western storm pushed the water over and through the dikes in the south western part of Holland. Even now, when people speak about "The Disaster", it's obvious that it's about that night (January 31st - February 1st).
Also in England (>300), Belgium and Germany, the storm was deadly.

On the same site is a lot of information about the disaster of '53, and about what "we" built to "make sure" that this would never ever happen again. These were the "Deltawerken", and caused a lot of resistance, as some waters became fresh water lakes instead of salt water sea-arms after they were built.
In the attachment "Delta Works" is a picture of where the dams are. The Oosterscheldedam (usually called Oosterscheldekering) and Maeslantkering are the most famous ones. The Maeslantkering (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maeslantkering) is passed by every ship sailing into the harbour of Rotterdam, by far Europes biggest harbour. 
Not everyone (in the media) is very sure about whether it will really work every time if there's a real storm. But last year on November 8th, it did, and it's tested once every year, but again, it'll then also close a major shipping route. 
That's one of my "main suspects" about which one you could possibly mean, as a failure would have the biggest consequences.
Behind it lays the most crowded area of one of the world's most crowded countries.

I've also looked up the 4762, as I recognised it as a Dutch postal code, and that's in Zevenbergen.... Very close to the Delta.
And very close to being flooded in 1953:

So that would mean that the danger is at the Volkerakdam, Haringvlietdam, Brouwersdam, Grevelingendam, Philipsdam, Oesterdam or maybe Oosterscheldedam.... 
Which means: I don't know, and I hope you'll recognise one of these names, or that you can do some more research otherwise.

I could't find the cross and other picture, and couldn't link the "8" to all of this.
Might be August? If you Google "deltawerken" en "achtste" (eighth in Dutch), you'll find out that many people see them as the 8th World Wonder. The people who engineered this and their successors are now (since Katrina) working on a new protection for New Orleans.
At http://www.deltawerken.com/The-Works/318.html you can see that the 8th water to be "dammed" was, indeed, the Oosterschelde (Eastern Schelde). This dam is also "flexible", but it's already been closed 24 times, the last closing was also on November 8th. Maybe there's something wrong with the 8th pillar/pier?
It's the most famous and expensive of the dams/barriers, and the biggest, and it looks a little like your drawing, but so does the Maeslantkering.

This just CAN'T happen. There are lots of more people living in the "vulnerable" areas now than in 1953, and most people in Holland live below sea level. 
Evacuation and rescue operations will be easier, but still.... Thousands could die, millions lose their homes.
I hope there's something you or I can do.
