UPDATE 23 NOV 2005...and it happened!!

HUNDREDS of dead and injured pigs were scattered across the Mallee Highway
east of Adelaide today when a semi-trailer rolled.
Police said the crash occurred about 3am (CST) west of Lameroo.

The semi-trailer driver and a passenger escaped with only minor injuries.

 
Police said many injured pigs had to be destroyed at the scene while those
that survived were taken away in another truck.
