Kate McCann 'being framed by Portuguese police'

Kate McCann is being set up by Portuguese police to take the blame over Madeleine, it was claimed today.
The husband of a woman serving 16 years in another missing child case in the Algarve said: "I am worried Kate will be framed for a crime she did not commit, the way it happened to my wife."
The warning comes as pressure mounted on the McCanns after Portuguese police said Madeleine, who was three when she disappeared, died in her bedroom following the discovery of specks of blood on the wall.
Portugese police chief Goncalo Amaral has been accused of framing a mother in a similar situation to the McCanns
Three years ago Leonor Cipriano was convicted of murdering her nine-year-old daughter Joana although her body has never been found.
The detective leading the hunt for Madeleine has been charged with criminal offences in the Joana case amid claims that a confession was beaten out of Cipriano.
The Portuguese woman claims she is the victim of a miscarriage of justice over the alleged murder seven miles from the spot where Madeleine went missing on 3 May.
In echoes of the Madeleine case, the investigation into Joana's disappearance got off to a bad start when the Republican National Guard failed to seal off the house where she was last seen.
Goncalo Amaral was accused of beating Leonor Cipriano
Joana's stepfather Leandro Silva told the Evening Standard: "Joana's mother never did anything and she was arrested.
"I am fearful the same thing will happen to Kate McCann. Whenever I watch the news it reminds me of Joana. It is hard.
"I just pray Madeleine appears. With Joana the police did a bad job. They didn't spend enough time looking for the child."
Goncalo Amaral, who is co-ordinating the search for Madeleine, and four other Portuguese police officers, were charged in June with offences relating to the inquiry into the disappearance of Joana.
Cipriano has alleged that she was beaten into a confession during a police interrogation that took place without her lawyer or the knowledge of the public prosecutor.
Portugal's Ministerio Publico said at the time it had charged three police officers with torture, a fourth with omission of evidence and a fifth with falsification of documents. It did not reveal who had been charged with which offence.
Despite the charges, Mr Amaral, the co-ordinator of the Policia Judiciaria in Portimao, has not been suspended from working on the Madeleine investigation.
Police sources have suggested that Mr Amaral was "very angry" about the allegations and was considering taking action against the Ministerio Publico.
"He is very professional and has had a lot of success in solving cases," the source said. "He is very upset because reporters never speak of these successes."
Meanwhile, the Evening Standard has revealed that the planned publicity campaign to mark 100 days since Madeleine disappeared have been put on hold amid the recent damaging accusations.
Mrs McCann, a doctor, and her husband Gerry, a cardiologist, have stayed in Praia da Luz with their two-year-old twins since Madeleine went missing while they were on holiday.
The couple, both aged 38, and six friends who dined with them on the night of Madeleine's disappearance, have come under suspicion as the police case against the only official suspect, Robert Murat, appears to be winding down.
The pressure on the McCanns follows a series of leaks from Portuguese police and the discovery of traces of blood in the apartment.
Police are understood to have spent the past two days studying ocean currents to determine where Madeleine's body - should it have been dumped at sea - would wash up.
Police sources said officers, including British detectives handling the sniffer dogs which discovered the blood in the McCanns' apartment, were scouring local beaches looking for a body.
That bolsters claims made yesterday that Madeleine was either murdered or died accidentally in her room. Police sources suggested the girl died in the room and her body was dumped in the sea.
The Standard reported yesterday how police no longer suspected Madeleine is the victim of an abduction.
The McCanns responded to the reports by reiterating their belief their daughter is still alive while a family spokeswoman described allegations made in Portuguese newspapers as very "hurtful".
The couple have campaigned tirelessly across Europe to keep the hunt for their daughter in the public eye.

On November 27, 2002, The Guardian reported that many among Portugal’s elite were linked to a pedophile ring as well: “A scandal over a paedophile ring run from a state orphanage gripped Portugal yesterday as it threatened to engulf diplomats, media personalities and senior politicians. Photographs of unnamed senior government officials with young boys from Lisbon’s Casa Pia orphanage were among the evidence reportedly available to police after they arrested a former orphanage employee called Carlos Silvino.” One revelation in the case was “that systematic sexual abuse of children at the home had allegedly been going on for more than 20 years and had been known to police and other authorities for most of that time.” Teresa Costa Macedo, a former secretary of state for families, has said that she sent a dossier to police twenty years ago containing “damning proof” of the abuse, including photographs and eyewitness statements. The information was not acted upon, and, for her trouble, Macedo became the victim of a campaign of threats and intimidation.
In June 2003, the Independent reported that police “at first denied her reports existed,” but then later produced them. Macedo has testified before parliament that the former president, Antonio Ramalho Eanes, the former foreign secretary, Jaime Garcia, and elements within the police all knew of the ongoing abuse. An official report claims that, “among the children still living at Casa Pia, at least 128 had been subjected to sexual abuse. Many are deaf and dumb.” Countless other victims have passed through the facility over the last thirty years. Among those detained or questioned in the case were Carlos Cruz, known in Portugal as “Mr. Television”; Manuel Abrantes, a former director of Casa Pia; Joao Ferreira Diniz, a doctor at Casa Pia; Jorge Ritto, a former ambassador to UNESCO; Hugo Marcal, Carlos Silvino’s former attorney; Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, Portugal’s Socialist Party leader; television talk show host Herman Jose; and Paulo Pedroso, a former Labour minister.
A follow-up report in the Independent noted that Casa Pia, founded by a police superintendent, first “came under scrutiny 20 years ago when a young inmate died … Officials found the home’s doors open all night and youngsters in a cruising area for male prostitutes. Four children aged between eight and 12, missing for a fortnight, were found in a luxury flat in nearby Cascais owned by a diplomat.” That diplomat was Jorge Ritto. It is now alleged that Silvino, an employee and former resident of Casa Pia, acted for years to procure young boys for rich and powerful pedophiles, including Ritto. Adolescent witnesses have claimed on Portuguese television that they were offered enticements and “then raped … and recruited for sex parties with powerful ‘friends.’ Others, now adult, have told of chilling experiences long suppressed.” A Portuguese organization calling itself Innocence in Danger has been working for years to publicize the problem of child abuse and child abductions in the country, but have been unable to penetrate what they describe as a “media blackout.”

found it on the mirror forums. Even if you don't agree with they are saying,

Brian,i was rereading your last page of 9 and the link of Carol Everett really dont know her but she drew three people that she thinks are involved and one was a woman that she said starts with R and works as a maid in hotel and the other guy had links to her and then the man known as the fat guy with all the money and linked to Germany and vidoes do you get that same feeling from her drawlings??Have you looked at her pictures to see if you think it is what you have felt???Wasnt there a guy that went to Portugal to give them info on a German man he said has Maddy and they dismissed him as fake.What do you think about all of that connecting to your visions or dreams?

Brian, I was looking at DD5830 (referring to Madeleine McCann) and it says: do not trust police—cover-up MM, no blood. Do you think this refers to the supposed blood the police claim they found in the hire car. I couldn’t locate the particular dream, but in one you said that the McCann’s would be framed, I think this is it…now Kate has been named a suspect because of this blood.

Hello Brian, I contacted you some time ago regarding a RV I did for this child and you did get back to me with a number, but since I got my messages then wiped I did not have it to get back to you. The RV I did I saw a white house and of particular note to me was the fence outside which was criss crossed, but I have only now seen the part of the apartment where the McCanns actually were and outside on what I think is the balcony is this same criss crossing. Prior to this I have been concentrating on it perhaps being part of the Robert Murat house yet not seen anything like that so far.
Inside was I got the impression of a child who was perhaps drugged or something but not conscious.
After doing a further RV I got the impression from ground level of bushes, trees scrub and over in distance to right caravans or campling site.
This leads me to believe that Madeleine is dead and concealed.
However, very early on I had a strange dream where I saw Madeleine and she was standing next to three transparent pods which had babies inside like in the faetal position and one of them was bigger, a boy, there were either two boys and a girl or two girls and a boy. Then a voice said 'these will never hatch', and I woke up and had no idea what I had seen or understood. Then I have since discovered that Madeleine was IVF and can only conclude that this was indicating there are three more that could be implanted but never will. So that will be four children gone. I have actually posted this somewhere on a site that was sort of spiritual contemplative because it so moved me at the time, but don't know whether it was actually posted as they e mailed me for confirmation and I did not get to do that as somebody else who also uses my computer will often wipe out messages en masse even though I have requested otherwise.
What I am really saying is that I believe that Madeleine was with parents at time and perhaps did not even die right away, and is now dead and buried, though more likely in shallow grave.
I know that you have the initials RM but am wondering whether the M could be for Madeleiene or McCann.
I also believe that Madeleine has been secreted somewhere like cupboard or car boot or freezer with help from friend or relative. Moved around to various places until reaching her place she is now.
I always take note of dreams, especially if voice message as well, but do not always think RV accurate because could have other information from conscious mind cropping in and is best to do right off in cases of missing people when no other factors are known to corrupt and distort view.

Hi, the best way to do this is NOT to know too much about what you're trying to see. The more information you have, the more inaccurate the result...at least this is what I learned on my own. It's very hard to stay away from news reports, especially in this case. Even though we no longer have TV, I cannot help but read news reports people send me...I guess it's human nature to want to know what others are saying :(
I'm not going to tell myself she's dead, as I have not seen this, and nothing's changed since day one...I highly suggest that Kate goes to where she thinks Madeleine is.

On ITV news tonight in britain the reporter states that a source close to mccanns has said that kate mccann has been offered a ple bargain - admit killing madeleine and we will give you a reduced sentence - you will be out in 2-3 years possibly one year - this is outrageous and kate, of course, replied - no way

Hi Louis....I can...and suggest she not take it, no matter what mind games they play with her. While stationed in North Carolina I spent some time at a S.E.R.E. school...and I know from first had experience, the mind can be made to believe things that are not true....without any doubt.

Hello again Brian,
Just a quick note that on the Gazzette Digital website Kate Mccann has
stated the smell of death comes from dealing with dead patients over the
months before going to Portugal.
If this is the case then, as stated by a previous person on your site,
the dogs surely would not have picked up the scent of death due to the
length of time it would have been on her clothes? At least about 6
months, therefore making it weaker by nature.
Also Kate stated that the scent on cuddle cat is because she took it to
work with her? If that is so, why had she previously stated Madeleine
took it everywhere with her?
I am very puzzled on this case as so many facts seem not to add up, both
with the Portuguese evidence and the Mccanns statements.
I shall reply again soon ( you must be worn out with so many people
sending emails) I'm sure this will be over soon. I pray to God that we
find this angel for all that is needed.

Hi Brian Awhile back you posted something by a Christian that went to Portugal on a pilgrimage to feel out prayerfully what was going on over there pertaining to Madeleien from a Christian Perspective. His name was Matt He said he just did not like the general manager at the ocean club,he had a negative sixth sense about him. and if he was going to investigate any one it would be him first. I'm still amazed at what a circus the police have created on this case. I'm afraid the McCanns will be convicted and with the twisted laws in Portugal, no one will be able to help them. If we go with the theory that Kate killed Madeleine, she would have to kill and hide the body within the vicinity and come back to the table by 10:00 pm. I think with the short window of time, given the fact that there were witnesses that saw her at the Tapas bar restaurant, it would be impossible. Lets say miraculously, that happened, Kate would need an accomplice to help her move the body in an area that would prevent the 60 hotel and police search personnel from finding the body. Lets, say hypothetically that occurred and her accomplice who can not be Gerry since he was at the table, moved the body for her. So, the body stays in a remote area until Kate and Gerry rent their car after 25 days. Then Kate's accomplice and her place the body in the car and dispose the body. A body would be decomposing at that point, so it would not make any sense to find blood in the boot of the car. So, if the police are saying they found Madeleine's blood, I find it hard to believe that is true in any respect. Today, on a radio show the announcer was talking about the fact that it would be too much of a coincidence to have Madeleine's blood in the family's rented car and the parents must be involved in some way. But, the very chilling thing that was not discussed is the fact that if the Kate theory is not true, then there is a very powerful and scary group of folks that have implanted the evidence in the car. Whoever these people are, they will go to all lengths not to be found. The other chilling theory is that if they had Madeleine, could it be that they hurt her and implanted her blood traces in the car. There are too many open questions just as Robert Murat's inquiry. I wish the British government would step in to review the case from soup to nuts. But, one might think that it is actually at the hands of the British forensic experts that the McCanns are being framed. At least, this is the picture the Portuguese police would like to paint for the public. I wonder about the witnesses that saw a man with a child running past the church and the neighbor upstairs that heard Madeleine crying. Are they dismissing all the accounts. What about the fact that Madeleine and her siblings were picked up from Crèche at 6:30. The sniffer dogs according to reports would pick up a scent if the body is in place for at minimum of two hours. So, that would mean as noted in some press reports that Madeleine should have been dead at ___ time . So, if not before dinner, then Kate came back to the room after Gerry and killed Madeleine and moved her. This is crazy! I'm afraid this case involves the most furious deepest darkest secret that will take a lot more than the McCanns to crack open. We need your help. The only way to solve this is more intervention from all angles and we can not let the evil people responsible get away with this. Brian, I think you are amazing and I think you are right in predicting that there are more children involved. I told my husband from day one that what happened to Madeleine is a part of a deep dark thing that will take a lot of good forces to win. We really need your help. Madeleine and a lot of little children need us to unite to overcome the evil. I truly believe this is the reason Madeleine's story has touched many of us so deeply.

You know sadly children are taken everyday in central America and elsewhere, and most of them do not get the attention Madeleine has. I do hope when this is over, worldwide attention is directed into solving this problem.

What do you make of the latest? Something is just not right here…. I can’t believe that the UK authorities, who I understand are present in Portiamo at the questioning, could be complicit in a cover up?? Both the Leicestershire detectives and Scotland yard are supposedly there at the interviews….It does not make sense… they must have found DNA and other forensics that are leading them down this inquiry path?? Those results did come back from a world renowned/respected forensics lab in Birmingham… are the Portuguese police / possible abductors that skilled at planting evidence?
Sadly 83% of children harmed have some one close to the family involved…. Is this not a more realistic statistic than a one in a million abduction theory that the parents’ are clinging to?? I don’t want to disregard all your hard work on this case, I just think that the parents, their friends, hotel guests, hotel staff have all been overlooked in this investigation…..

Hi, I think it took a lot of planning, but they wanted to get it right, as there is just too much at stake. I do believe it's possible that the parents are not telling all...but I do not think they killed their daughter, nor have I ever. The next step in the PJ's plan, would be to clear Robert Murat from all wrong doing...if this happens, I believe without a doubt Madeline was taken by RM.
You're statistics are correct and you do make a good point, but that's what I believe and have had much success trusting my beliefs in the past.

Hi, yes it could be, but remember just because there is blood does not mean she is dead, on the contrary, it could prove she is alive. I still have not found the answer to my question about if it's possible to tell how old the blood actually is...I know there must be a way to figure this out.

I´am sorry to say this but i think you are not being very wise!
British dogs,not portuguese one's, the great british dogs sniffed what became the new evidence....so.....british police had to be around (they always have been and you seem not to know that)....so, i suppose tha your set up rv maybe not totally right. You may have dreams and rv but i think that you also have to pay attention to real facts or else you surely wont make the right interpretation of what you see (dream) and what is hapennig. you can´t relay only on your dreams and rv.You will often make mustakes. You had a rv about the set up, and the possibility of an arest...that is amazing and i admit it. Regarding for example the set up rv you could also interpret in another way:
-the police were set up by the parent's from the beggining
-Is a set up by the police to caugh them.
PS: on the first drawings there is a couple...well...the lady olso looks like kate. But in the end maybe you are right and it makes all sense that portuguese police as a dead body and at night put it in the apartment so the dogs could sniff it ,and in the car's to ..ou ...and also has maddies blood and put them in the car's they use and so on and on....please just think a litle bit.
Just one more thing...Kate and Gerry do have the church key, almost from the beginning ,you can be sure about that (it was on tv...they entered using a key).

It looks like the portuguese police didn't receive a very good education while they were growing up and in my opinion need 'TO BE SACKED & JAILED'. They have there little country all wrapped up the way they want it, and I have thought all along that they are involved, what a system, If you are a police officer, part of the government, part of the media in that country and are all FRIENDS you can get away with anything and do whatever you like, including kidnapping a child and framing the parents!

A scandal over a paedophile ring run from a state orphanage gripped Portugal yesterday as it threatened to engulf diplomats, media personalities and senior politicians.
Photographs of unnamed senior government officials with young boys from Lisbon's Casa Pia orphanage were among the evidence reportedly available to police after they arrested a former orphanage employee called Carlos Silvino.
A number of former residents, and the mother of one boy who is still there, have denounced sexual attacks on children at what is known as Lisbon's most famous orphanage.
Mr Silvino, it was claimed, abused children himself and procured boys for a powerful group of clients.
He has publicly denied the allegations and was expected to repeat that denial at a closed-door bail hearing in Lisbon yesterday.
What has most shocked the Portuguese have been the revelations that systematic sexual abuse of children at the home had allegedly been going on for more than 20 years and had been known to police and other authorities for most of that time.
A former president, General Ramalho Eanes, was allegedly among those who knew about abuse at the home but failed to stop it.
The identity of the mysterious group of powerful paedophiles remained a secret yesterday, with only one person prepared to admit she knew at least some of the names.
Former secretary of state for families, Teresa Costa Macedo, said she had sent a dossier containing photographs and testimonies from children to the police 20 years ago but they had done nothing about it, while she was subjected to a campaign of threats.
"He [Silvino] was just one element in a huge paedophile network that involved important people in our country," Mrs Costa Macedo explained in a newspaper interview. "It wasn't just him. He was a procurer of children for well-known people who range from diplomats and politicians to people linked to the media."
The material sent to the police, which yesterday appeared to have been lost, was damning proof of the activities of the paedophile ring, Mrs Costa Macedo said.
"There are photographs, an account of the methods used to spirit children out of the orphanage and testimonies of a number of children," she explained.
Mrs Costa Macedo said that many of the photographs were found at the house of a Portuguese diplomat in the town of Estoril, 20 miles from Lisbon. Four children who had gone missing from the orphanage were discovered at the house, where they had spent several days allegedly under lock and key.
President Eanes was introduced to five boys who told him of the abuse occurring at the orphanage in 1980 but failed to act on it, according to Mrs Costa Macedo.
There was no suggestion that General Eanes, a popular and respected figure who did not comment on the allegations yesterday, was involved in the paedophile ring.
Portuguese police insisted yesterday they had no record of the documents sent to them by Mrs Costa Macedo.
She said she had been the target of a campaign of intimidation to make her stop investigating the case.
"I received anonymous threats, by phone and post. They said they would kill me, flay me and a lot of other things," she said.
That campaign had started again yesterday, she said, with threatening phone calls made to her home.
Portugal has increasingly been under the scrutiny of anti-paedophile groups who have denounced its lax laws and uninterested courts for creating a paedophiles' paradise in Europe.
Belgian and Dutch paedophile groups are reported to have operated in Portugal, with foreigners travelling to the island of Madeira to seek out young children.
Investigators from the Swiss-based Innocence in Danger group, which claims children regularly disappear from the poorer streets of Portuguese towns and cities, say they too have been harassed and threatened.
Mr Silvino claimed his accusers were making up their allegations. "It is all lies," he said.
The orphanage's director and deputy director were sacked on Monday as the government pledged to clear up the case as soon as possible.
