I am so releived that you will be going to Portugal. I have emailed Kevin and would ike to help out where ever possible. I would like to wish you a successful trip and wich your family well in your absence.
I would also lie to help with other missing person cases when this one is over. I cant seem to concentrate on any others with Madeleine in my foremind.
I thin you have done ever so well with this case so far and wish you well I think I am now getting the gist of the dreaming but forget to write things down. I stil see Maddie alive and well... and have you tothnk for that as I was beginning to loose myself at one point.

Thanks Kris, we are still trying to find someone to manage the fund, when we do I imagine that we could be there in less than a week. We are planning several approaches to this case when we get this, but will not make this public until we are out of the country. The last thing we want to do is get arrested ourselves...and are taking every precaution to do so.

I have been following this case since the start with much interest and i think what you do for missing people is amazing.

Im a psychic medium, but am very new to it so was reluctant to try to get any info on maddie because i did not want to waste police time if the info i got was wrong or misleading.

I also normally do not try to get any info without the persons permission, well maddie can not give hers and if the police get their way the parents wont be able to pretty soon too, Im shocked at the treatment they are recieving.

Anyway I decided to link with spirit and see what i could come up with, I asked the following questions and these were the answers i got, hope this can help in some way.

1. Is madeleine still alive? Yes!! very much so

2. Who took her ? Rue/Rua (surname was hard to hear but the first part was ) Mend....

3. Why was she taken? To prove a point (no idea what that means)

4. Has she been hurt? No she is safe

5. Where are they keeping her? Portugal ......... Close by

6. Is she with a Man or Woman? Group.....male,female and children

7. Are these other missing children? Not all

8. When will she be found? Soon ... time not right..... 11 (not sure if that is a date or month)

9. Is Gerry and Kate involved? No

10. Are they being set up? Yes .... under orders..... higher up

It´s all quiet inter. what I read about the case Madeleine Mc. I live in Praia da Luz so I recognize things you dreamed about especcialy on comments about Ocean Club owner as R. S. and a name Vilma. as you can be more specific about these and you dream more about these names let me know.

I agree with others who have posted on your website that he does seem to resemble a man wearing glasses sketched in your RV(s); and is it possible that the RM initials could also refer to Resort Manager. I wonder if anyone can confirm whether this John Hill is the same John Hill with the real estate website featuring Villamoura - that does seem to be a very significant coincidence with one of your early dreams/RVs. I wonder to what extent British investigators have independently investigated the Mark Warner staff, and their employment records. Have any of the maids or other hired help stopped clocking in after Madeleine's disappearance? I am intrigued by the drawing of the maid in psychic Carol Everett's website: Carol Everett's http://caroleverett.com/maddy-mccann.htm; her drawings in other cases seem to be uncanny.

I particularly got shivers when I read that she came up with a drawing of the Washington DC Sniper and submitted it to FBI, etc., who responded to her that no one had even considerd that the sniper could possibly be other than a sophisticated, angry white man. (She drew and submitted to authorities her sketch of a scruffy black man - the hairline and other features are right on, as well as other details -- well before the snipers were caught. Apparently her sketch may have helped the authorities become more open-minded about who they were looking for.) Sorry to digress - I just give this example by way of saying that her sketches have been so accurate in other cases; I hope that British investigators are following up on the maid/resort employee leads -- again, separately from the Portugese police! (Although, after this period of time, I am guessing that employment records can easily have been changed, etc....)

I will put some thought into how you might set up a fund for an investigative trip to Portugal, but I just wanted to let you know that I have been reading your work on the Madeleine McCann since I found your original dream in the very beginning, in May, when there was only one post listed about that first dream. I am so impressed with what you do, and with your diligence and moderation. I for one will be happy to make a contribution to help you get there. I am guessing you have so many readers and people who have been actively trying to help with the case that just a very small amount donated by many of these people could get the funds together quickly. Can you set up a Paypal address (perhaps you could create a chart showing approximate funds needed, and then update the fund progress so that we the contributors could view the contributions progress and help even more if necessary -- whatever it takes to help get you there quickly. But whatever you do I pray that you be so cautious; isn't it possible that powers that be in Portugese customs could be on the look-out for unwanted visitors? I hope that this is not the case but at this point, and especially given the suspicions you have voiced regarding a cover-up and now a set-up, it seems like much darker things are possible, if not probable.

Re the weird video!

I think this is the apartment complex which that strange video is from! When viewing it from google earth you can zoom in and it has a strange rockery type thing in the middle of the pool like the video.

It is also called Aldeamento luz Ocean club,dont know if it has any relevance but it does look on to 3 tennis courts!

I hope as you read this email, that everything is well with you and your family.

I have been reading your writings on missing people ever since Madeleine McCann was abducted and have followed it with great interest. I will not sing praises to your good work because I am aware a lot of people do that already but instead will get straight to the point.

I have pulled out tarot cards for Maddie and hope it would help with the investigation and her whereabouts.

Before doing the tarots I concentrated on Maddie by looking at her picture from the internet to establish a link. The layout I used is Celtic Cross. Here is the result:

1st Card. Present Situation. 8 of Cups

The first card indicates massive emotional battle. I sense weariness, lack of energy and a feeling of abandonement. There is a psychological battle within Maddie as she tries to understand the events unfolding before her and being so young, it is hard for her to comprehend why she cannot be with her mummy. I don't believe she has forgotten about her family but there is a danger of that happening since children adapt quicker than adults to new enviroments or situations. She seems to just drift through life and maybe in this situation she doesn't know anymore why she is unhappy.

2nd Card The Obstacle or The Positive Forces. The World

This card represent a whole new cycle - a completion of an old one and a start of the new. There is an ending of a situation here and all things at hand will balance itself out. This card can be read as a happy ending or the finding of some sort of closure (truth) but there is still a cross-road or if you may a hurdle to be jumped over before reaching that final outcome. There is a sense of coming together in a positive sense and a completion of a long difficult journey for Maddie.

3rd Card Heart of the Matter - past or present influences. The Wheel of Fortune

Helplessness of the situation is what I read into this card. Maddie happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and it could have happened to any other child. But despite of her situation I feel she will come out of this nightmare safe and sound. There is/was a movement around her or she is/was physically move/d to a different place and I feel a tangible news of her from out of the blue will surface much sooner than we realise.

4th Card The Solution - The Hermit

There is a person that can help. And this person is unknown to some friends or family of Maddie. In fact may be unkown to Maddie's parents. I see Brian as this person. To the eyes of others, this would be absurd to consider Brian would be of any help. If they choose to seek counsel from Brian, the parents will find the answers that are being sought. Brian, on the other hand runs the risk of being misunderstood or worse, being ridiculed. I don't see Brian as someone who would try to preach or convert people to his beliefs but I see him as someone who genuinely want to help find Maddie and guide them to their search.

5th Card The Preoccupation of the Mind - Queen of Cups

Maddie still has that strong bond to her mother and I feel, even if she's been away from her mother for so long, she still thinks about her and misses her. There is and always will be that child/mother bond. The Queen of Cups represents Kate. This card gives me an idea that Kate didn't accidently kill Maddie. She is a woman of virtue and is very spiritual/religous person. She is someone who I feel would do the appropriate thing. Deep in her heart she knows Maddie is still alive and it's that bond between her and Maddie that tells her that she is not dead. If I may call it, a telepathic bond. If she can only distract herself from other worries and concern, and listen to her heart, she may be the key to finding her intuitively.

6th Card Relationship with Others - The Chariot

Maddie is no ordinary little girl. I feel she is not your typical little girl. She is a strong child and have had to endure a lot already in her very young age. I believe that she is aware of her situation and still calls out for her mummy. She is very brave and is used to getting what she wants and she still thinks she can. She is very intelligent and despite all talks by children psychologists that she will be emotionally scarred when she is returned, I believe she will come out of this just fine.

As I mentioned earlier, there is still that cross-road before Maddie returns. As far as the police interviews are concern, I see here as well litigation proceedings and possibly may lose the case. If the parents don't keep their cool, quarrels and disputes may follow suit. Kate and Gerry have to move forward and focus on their goals. No use dwelling on the "what ifs" because this can only produce negative results.

7th Card The Self Position - Nine of Swords

Maddie is somewhere out there feeling very miserable and I see this is affecting her health a lot. I don't feel she is being mistreated in anyway - it's more the emotional anguish she is going through that is taking it's toll.

8th Card The House Position - Ace of Wands

There is a saying ..what can't break you, can only make you stronger. There is within the family an admirable trait that can almost be mistaken as stubborness. Their faith in finding Madeleine, their strong resolve to do what they think is right and their strenght against all adversity is what will help Kate and Gerry get out of this situation unscathed. There is some kind of news or counseling that will come their way that will act like a kind of catalyst to resolving the mess in which they are in.

9th Card Hopes and Fears - King of Swords

I see a man by Madeleine's side and this man is represented by the King of Swords. This man is influential and has some type of authoritive powers that can sway the law either way. I feel he is a man of importance and the type of person that comes to mind is a judge. This man is well respected and has a reputation of being "ethical." This person I feel speaks more than one language and is a very articulate in both verbal and written communication. I feel he knows something about the whereabouts of Maddie and his knowledge could be very instrumental to this investigation.

10th Card The Outcome - 10 of Wands

Time is tough for now for Madeleine and if you try to visualise this, it's an uphill walk but eventually you will get there. There are still heartaches to come and probably casualties in the process. The best thing that can happen now is for the media coverages on the McCanns to settle down and
once everything is calmed, Maddie can be returned. And i do feel she is alive and well and will eventually come home.

The McCanns are flying back to the uk this morning.

I cant help but thinking that this is exactly what the portugese police want them to do - get them out and the media will soon follow and then it can be 'business as usual' for them.

If the police really beleved that the mccanns have killed their daughter then why would they let them leave, why would they question kate and then let her go back to gerry for the night to come back for questioning the next day and why would they even be walking the streets at all.

I beleive that the whole bringing kate and gerry in and grilling them was to make them want to leave.

I am so glad you are going out there and thank you soooooo much for this. I hope and pray that you are safe whilst out their and most importantly that you are proved right and find her. I have contacted Kevin and will be contributing what i can to your trip.

Also hope you get there on time and feel that since the mccanns and probably the media will be leaving that if whomever has her is going to move her - they may be planning this shortly.

Please try and do another RV on Madeleine to find out any further information or any changes that have happened or are about to happen.

Brian, I have been following your dreams and opinions on the search of Madeleine and if you believe you know how to find her, I am more than willing to help you financially-despite certainly being far from rich myself! there seems to be an overwhelming amount of evidence against the parents- whom I have sincerely and deeply sympathised with throughout the entire search.

I don't understand how British forensic scientists can find the blood of Madeleine- in the car of the Mccanns- blood cannot be faked and surely an entire police force will not be willing to agree to fake evidence-this is way too heartwrenching and serious a situation.

As a parent myself- I feel for both Gerry and Kate who ae going through Hell.

For the sake of the entire British nation and Maddie herself- I sincerely believe that the couple are innocent and the victims of a hideous and corrupt police force but over time find it more and more difficult to believe that an entire force can get away with faking evidence and falsely blaming an innocent couple, especially with support from British Police.

Brian- your RV's have been accurate from Day 1, so please- show your belief and honesty in this case by showing police where you believe little Madeleine is hidden- I'm entirely positive that British police in Portugal would be extremely grateful to your help and will respect your own instincts, particularly having been advised by hundreds oif members of the British public. You knoew that many believe in you and will continue to do so even if you are inaccurate in this case.

Hi Kay, just did...what I really need from them is information...mainly about where they think Madeleine might be, not matter how crazy it might sound, I also want to know about any dreams they have related to their daughter...past and present.

If they wish, I will not make anything public, however I would encourage them not to do so. It might benefit them if they open up more, and talk...without violating any Portuguese law of course.

From my understanding they are not able to talk about the ongoing case, yet talking about their dreams should be ok. If I were in their place, I will tell everything I knew to CNN...as soon as I stepped back on British soil....everything...case details, names, places, everything...break every secrecy law in the PJ's law book if they have too. (I'm sorry, pop-up law book)

Even if there is something that they know they did wrong on that night, like not check on them as often as stated, or even the sedative issue (if real), they need to tell all. If they don't, the PJ will use this as blackmail against them, turning a bad parenting decision, into a accidental murder wrap. If they are framing them for murder, and if breaking this law would prove their innocence, I suggest they do it...but that's just me.

Everyone makes mistakes, and we learn from them, admit the entire truth...and they will drop the charges just as quick, or quicker then they filed them.

Also remember, they want the murder wrap...much better for tourism that what's really going on.

Skipped the park and spent the day at Antietam Battlefield...had a great time, and did a lot of walking...one thing that really bothered me...at each battle site there are markers listing those who died...yet all the names we saw where those of officers...what, where their no enlisted men or NCO's at the battle? I have very little time tonight, so reply have to be even shorter than usual :(

Brian found this on the net, This may exxplain why 'MANUEL PINHO' was mentioned on the romigen website, it may be that they were talking about the fact that he had suspended an international ad campaign which promoted the Algarve, and it was on the 9th of May.

So this means that he isn't involved, they were writing about this, well atleast we can rule Manuel Pinho out.

Would help though if there sentences made sense!

Six days after Madeleine went missing on May 3 the government suspended an international ad campaign promoting the Algarve.

Sorry to keep e-mailing you about this case. I have just watched the MMS that was sent to you last week, of the hotelroom and outside hotel.

The outside film, by the pool, is for deffenetly from The Ocean Club Gardens. That is the one hotel that has three tenniscourts in the north of the map sending here.
I believe this Kevin from Lagos is right. If possible, could you please send my e-mail adress to this Kevin from Lagos? Then I can perhaps write to him, and stop taking time from you.

Why has someone sent this MMS-video to you? What if the little child in the bed is Madeleine? There is nothing in the room or the bedroom that shows that a child is staying there.

This person for sure wants to tell you something, the skyline filming is also showing the Ocean Club Gardens. Or do your think it is a hoax?

reading the comment on the underground watersystem.

I saw a black and white still slide as you refer to them weeks ago. It
was Madeleine laying on her back in a narrow concrete space. It looked
like she was lying on a big concrete water tube. It was underground.
Her eyes were open.

As a result of a recent post, I have been looking at Robert Murat's Romigen website (not easily found, unless you miss the R off Robert's name when doing a search).

In the archives of that website for last few months, there have been cryptic communications by the registered users. Could this be a way for people to comunicate with Robert and his counterparts, without it being readily traceable through an e-mail programme? The link is:

The posters (who have to be registered to post there) talk about Madeleine in cryptic terms. It doesn't make a huge amount of sense but I am convinced that they are speaking in euphemisms or metaphors, in which case it does have significance. In a sense, the fact that there appears to be no logical or obvious train of thought, strongly suggests that they are talking in a way designed to hide what they are really saying.

The main comments appear to be posted by a Carlos Sebastiao (from whom it is said you can negotiate a 'discount. There is a 67 year old Portuguese actor who also has this name. There are also references to two Portuguese cabinet ministers - both in the Portuguese Cabinet since 2005 (Manuel Pinho and Mario Lino), one of whom appears to be a registered contributor to the website. There are echoes in this of the Casa Pia orphanage scandal and cover-up of 2002 where it was said that prominent politicians and media people were involved in the sexual abuse of vulnerable orphans.

Some particularly strange matters:

i) As Tthe previous poster mentioned, there is mention of the "Allgarve programme" being suspended because of the Madeleine case (I have highlighted in red).

ii) Madeleine being in "the Second Life"

iii) Mention of the money being split three ways (including to a woman) and there being apparent disagreement about this.

iv) Reference to the sewers in Caparica (a place in Portugal)

v) Most recently, as of 6 September 2007, they talk about "the mice" and "the pests" leaving Portugal, which will leave Portugal deserted, which they are pleased about. Could this be a reference to the British police, the press or the McCanns? This coincided with the interviews and upgrading of status of the McCanns, which could have been designed to prompt them (and thereby the press) to leave Portugal.

vi) Some of the later posts are nonsensical, but I wonder if they are in code? The website refers readers at one point to a website http://rachacuca.com.br for further assistance. Within that website is a further link to code-breaking as folllows:

Even though they have both been officially made suspects they were told this morning they were free to leave and so this afternoon that is what they have done.

Hopefully they will be ok. Its a tragedy and i hope you do keep to your word and go to portugal and i wish you all the luck in the world to find this princess and bring her home to her mummy and daddy. Dear Brian,

I felt I had to write to put forward my thoughts, rightly or wrongly. Forgive me if they detract you from your concentration.

Like so many others, I have been watching the events of this case unfold since it first hit the headlines back in May. I picked up the link to your site from a member on the Crime Blog website. I was intrigued by the messages from one of your followers and I began to check your site sporadically at first and then more and more frequently, until it is almost on a daily basis now.

Brian, with all due respect, I would have to hold my hands up and say I am somewhere on the cusp of believer and sceptic, but the facts cant lie and most definitely you have been correct on a lot of the items concerning this case, in particular the warnings to the McCann's a month ago, to leave before they were arrested and unable to do anything further to help. I have to respect this fact.

Like so many people, I want to believe that the McCanns are not involved. However, there are so many things about this case that beggar belief.

When the news first broke about the disappearance of Madeleine, I have to tell you I was inexplicably devastated, it upset me so much on so many levels, I absolutely wept with grief and despair, and the only reason I can give to explain this, is that I have a daughter who is a few months older than Madeleine so it is something I could very much relate to. Every night when I tuck her up in bed, I feel my thoughts dragged to wondering, where are you now Madeleine, what terrible ordeal are you suffering, in the knowledge that if my daughter were removed from me she would be distraught beyond words to describe it. My next feelings were of despair at the apparent lack of force, drive and determination to find her. ( And here I am drawn to remember how many times you have also made reference to the inactivity of her parents to do anything themselves, and in fact pleaded with them to physically search themselves). I digress. I could not leave the matter alone, I started to email all our major tabloids, radio stations and Sky News in an effort to stir up someone to make things happen. I also emailed the McCanns, offered my personal help as much as I could do, and I set up an internet group to get the help of anyone travelling abroad to be extra vigilant and to circulate posters and network their contacts in the bid to find Madeleine.

At this point I have to make reference to an item posted by Chris in Essex, about a pilgrimage to Luz by Paul Robin Denton, and how much of his thoughts and findings resonate with me. He's right, the whole thing just doesn't stack up. It's like watching a magic show....look at my left hand, so you don't notice what my right hand is doing.....like a conspiracy, ....remember JFK? I feel like we, the whole world are being fed a carefully rehearsed story. There's no spontaneity, no natural emotion......and to my mind plenty of stones being left very much unturned. But who knows what's going on behind the scenes, none of us.

I can only speak for myself, but I know deep in my heart, that, God forbid, my daughter should be taken from me, I would stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to find her. I would sacrifice every last penny to pay the professionals that do exist that could and would go in under cover to look for her. Sceptic or not, I would have taken in the suggestions from the Psychic's, I would have checked you out Brian, as I have done as an observer, and I'd have said hey it's a long shot, but let this guy have a go, anything would be worth a try. I'd have read the testimonials and made the same decision as I have now, there's got to be something in your success stories. I'd have contacted you, spoken to you....hell, flown you over, anything to find my baby girl. NOT publically denounced you as not being credible, NOT threatened legal action against you, I couldn't believe what I was reading. .... IT'S OUTRAGEOUS!!!

I was aghast at how many people clamoured to absolve Madeleine's parents from any wrong doing in leaving a then 3 year old child with twins under the age of 2, while they went to dinner. 'We were on holiday, we needed a break'.... well then book a babysitter or better still take the nanny with you I find myself saying. Unbelievable!

I have been in the unfortunate position of bringing up children alone, and if anybody needs a break it's a lone parent with no support network or nannies, living on a tight budget, where one might think that there would be a temptation to leave children and pop out. Never! I can honestly say I have never left my children, nor would I. Even in my own home, I have had the doors locked and had a baby listening device in the garden if I happen to have had a BBQ and she has been asleep.

The continent is renowned for being particularly lenient to children dining out in the evening. I have always taken mine with me, they have either slept in a buggy, on my lap under my napkin, on two chairs shunted together, anything....last resort stay in and have room service. This is not me being self righteous, I'm just saying that for me it was never an option to leave the children alone. My daughter is 4 now and I can categorically say I would never ever leave her alone, I could not guarantee, nor would I want to take the risk that she would not wake and be terrified when she found I wasn't there. How could any parent guarantee that their child would go to bed, settle, go to sleep and not stir until they got back. Quite frankly it's inconceivable.....unless they were given sedation? And there open's another can of worms.

The parents have at all times maintained too much control in the face of such devastation and despair, there has never seemed to be any sign of emotion. I know we all cope with things in different ways, but the regular turn out for jogging and the big public display of church going... all a bit too contrived for me. But we all have different defence mechanisms and ways of dealing with trauma, who am I to question theirs. Just me personally, as a parent, I find this very unnatural.

No, I'm sorry Brian but there's so much about this case that simply does not add up. I pray with every fibre in my body that you are correct and that she is alive and unharmed, that her parents are absolutely not involved and that she can be found and reunited with them, but at the moment I just cant feel it.

I am sick and tired of the amount of attention this case is generating...which DOES NOT HELP "finding Madeleine"(again the mantra- bit like "peace in the middle east "or "war on terror"...)... in fact it hinders the search!

It appears the family have accepted Madeleine isn't coming back... BUT why ? Supernatural worlds exist... they are there whether or not you believe in them...they exist...

Finally, my gut feeling is that this was a pre-planned - professional kidnapping and someone somewhere in LUZ knows something about all of this.... we need to flush them out that's all.

We shook a few strongholds on this visit - and I'm sure we pissed a few people off... and this is what we had hoped for... we ask MORE people to go to LUZ and piss off MORE PEOPLE... WHY- because there is a stronghold keeping this investigation from moving forward...why would I say something like this?

I will continue to watch the events unfold, and to watch your site with interest. I feel as powerless as ever to make any significant difference in the quest to find Madeleine McCann, a poor innocent child who was left defenceless to the mercy of whatever terrible fate has befallen her.

One final point - those involved in this terrible affair, must be watching in disbelief the amount of attention around the world this case has attracted. I think the day the McCanns went home was indeed a happy day for them. If her parents are not involved.....then whoever is will surely be making their next move very soon. I think that the worst thing about this case is that it never needed to happen, it was absolutely avoidable.

The best we can hope for is that she will become one of your success stories. Do you still have the same strong feelings that you have had all along.....ie Madeleine is still alive and her parents are not connected with this. Do you still feel she could be found and re united with her family. I am not a deeply religious person, but I'm praying right now that this is the case.

You are a good man to put in the time that undoubtedly you do, whilst supporting a wife and young family.

Hi, and I appreciate your point of view and agree with some of it.

First, I do believe the McCann's do not know where there daughter is, I also believe they are not telling the whole truth, and withholding this is getting them into trouble.

Second, what I'm doing is not for the parents, and I have clear about this for sometime. They can take my advise or leave it, either way I cannot let this affect me...no matter what they say or do...but I will and have taken actions to protect myself.

I do believe she will be found, and I also believe that for some reason many do not want her to be found...and I'm trying to figure out why...and I believe that soon we will know.

If she is found safe...then the work to help others has really just begun. I do wish that some sort of National Agency that deals in the area of child smuggling take charge...it's also possible that they already are :)

Kate and Gerry McCann were due to fly home to Britain this morning amid mounting speculation that they were involved in the disappearance and possible death of their daughter, Madeleine.

It is believed the McCanns fear they could be charged with their daughter's death after they were named as official suspects this week by Portuguese police. But sources close to the investigation told The Observer that DNA evidence that led to the couple being considered suspects was incomplete and not a perfect match to their daughter. Although evidence from blood found on the floor of the family's holiday flat was said to be 'very strong', it was not conclusive.

The first authoritative account of the sudden change of direction in the search for the missing four-year-old came last night from a senior source who is close to both the British and Portuguese police teams.

In a dramatic sign of the growing tension surrounding the fast-moving investigation, it also emerged that family and friends of the McCanns were in contact with the Foreign Office in the hope of securing support from the Foreign Secretary, David Miliband.

The McCanns spoke to Miliband a month ago, and family sources said he had been 'very supportive'. Now, they are hoping he might help head off any decision to lay charges against the McCanns on the basis of what one relative branded as 'repulsive' suggestions they were involved in their daughter's disappearance.

Revealing the details behind the decision to shift the focus of the investigation onto the McCanns, the source said that in addition to the blood at the holiday flat, DNA evidence had been found in a car rented by the McCanns more than two weeks after Madeleine went missing.

He said that while both samples had matched Madeleine's DNA, since they had degraded over time, this was based on an incomplete picture - only 15 of the available 20 genetic markers usually used for such analysis were found: 'Nineteen out of 20 is what we consider conclusive. In this case, they could extract only 15 - but all of the 15 exactly matched Madeleine's DNA.' *This means that the blood HAS to be either Madeleine's or a family member who sooooo closely has the almost exact, if not exact DNA.*He also dismissed as 'simply wrong' recent media reports that blood had been found in the car.

He said the Portuguese police were taking the sample recovered from the flat seriously - in part because of 'contradictions and changes' in the accounts given by the McCanns and their friends of what happened the night Madeleine disappeared.

It was the arrival last week of the DNA test results from Britain's Forensic Science Service laboratory in Birmingham that prompted Portuguese police to call in the girl's parents for questioning - and the decision, confirmed yesterday morning, to name both of them as arguidos, or formal suspects.

The source said the DNA from the rental car had come from the interior of the vehicle and not from blood. Given the passage of time, it 'could have come from any item, [such as] clothing, which Madeleine had contact with before she went missing'. *So you are wondering, how can this fit into with what has happened? Well, here is an idea. If the DNA matched that closely, it would most likely HAVE to be Maddie or a TWIN. It's happened many times before, twins run in families. For example, my grandma's mom was a twin. Three of my great-grandma's kids had a set of twins. One of their grandchildren has two sets of twins, and two others had one set of twins apiece. An identical twin of course, is where the egg splits in two, to become two people with pretty much the same set of DNA, and kate and gerry have one set, that we know of, of paternal twins. Do paternal twins have that close of a DNA match? No. Because it comes from two different sperm, not the sa me. But an identical twin could. Why would the McCanns lie?*

But the key sample, he said, came from blood found in the flat where the family was staying at the Mark Warner resort in Praia da Luz. 'It was a small quantity and was found on the floor, which had been washed a number of times since Madeleine's disappearance,' he said.

The source added that it was the 'very strong' probability from the DNA results of a direct match with Madeleine that convinced police to put 'detailed and specific questions' to her parents'. *Let's look at something totally different from what we think happened. Let's look "Outside of the box". Let's say the McCanns wanted to save some money on their trip out of the country. If they wanted to all stay in the same flat, 4 children and two adults would warrant two rooms rented, instead of just one. Look at the brochure. The next thing of it is this, if they have hidden one twin since birth and done things like, put her into school every other day. If they played a little switcheroo etc. Why? Maybe because Kate wants to save money. Maybe because Kate needs one always with her, I dunno. But than one of their two children gets taken, everyone knows about Maddie, so they just say Maddie is gone. Whether it was maddie or not who went missing. And no one is the wiser. Than they would have to bring friends into it to maybe take the other daughter to someone's home, and she travels in the car, may very well be Maddie, may very well be the other child. And than they would REALLY have to hide the twin because if someone saw her they would say OH MY, ITS MADDIE, her parents knew what happened to her the entire time!!!!!* Their answers 'did not provide a satisfactory explanation, which is why it became virtually inevitable under the Portuguese legal system that they would be named arguidos before further questioning'.

Amid the shock of the shift in the investigation and alarm over the possibility of formal charges, the McCanns' family and closest friends yesterday rallied in support. One friend, describing the 'ordeal' of hours of police questioning on Friday and Saturday, remarked last night: 'They did not give Portuguese police the satisfaction of crying.'

Kate McCann's uncle, Brian Kennedy, said: 'We still say as a family and friends that this suggestion that in some way they were responsible for the death of Madeleine is just nonsense, pure and simple.'

Portuguese police, meanwhile, last night described as 'absolutely absurd' reports that Kate McCann was offered a plea bargain during questioning should she admit to the accidental death of her daughter.

The McCanns' Portuguese lawyer, Carlos Pinto de Abreu, said that the newspaper reports were due to a 'misunderstanding' that had arisen during questioning.

Hi, I guess anything is possible, but I believe the blood the police has is from Madeleine, and the blood itself will prove that Madeleine is alive. If she is still where I think she is, a blood sample would be easy to take...from what I'm told, just a fingerpick would be well enough to provide all the evidence that have and more. Again, from what I know, she is still at Robert Murat's mom's house or somewhere very close. I also know there has to be a way to figure out how old a blood sample is...if I'm wrong, someone please tell me.

I just watched the CNN special and they appear to have condemmed Kate - and the news that they must
return to portugal within 5 days is beyond beleif.

I am very afraid for Kate and more afraid for Madeleine - as the police have been working on this since atleast
mid-june/july which means they have not focused on finding Madeleine at all. The news that body fluids have been
found in the back of the mccanns car sounds like a frame up but none the less - the fluids of a dead body - or cadiver
as they claim mean that Maddy may no longer be with us. (regardless of whom was involved). please do another
RV and give us hope- right now you may be the only one in the world who can help us.

Police and forensic teams are preparing to go into Our Lady of the Light Roman Catholic church in Praia da Luz as part of a renewed attempt to find Madeleine - or any clues to her disappearance.

The McCanns were given keys to the small sandstone church soon after their daughter disappeared on May 3, and told they could visit whenever they wanted.

Now police are investigating whether the building and its vaults could reveal any trace of the missing four-year-old.

Whether the McCanns hid anything in there is understood to have been one of the questions they were asked during hours of police interviews last week.

It was the local priest, Jose Manuel Pacheco, who gave the couple keys to the building.

He is reported to have asked for them to be returned before the McCanns left Portugal.

Police have also applied to dig up a large area near the church, particularly a cobbled road that had deep excavations around it at the time Madeleine disappeared.

At first, it was speculated that Madeleine might have wandered off and fallen down one of the sandy pits.

Now police will re-excavate them to determine if someone buried her body there.

Our Lady of the Light became a central part of the McCanns' lives in the 130 days they spent in the Algarve resort.

They went to Mass most Sundays and prayed privately for their daughter's safe return.

The renewed searches are being ordered by the public prosecutor as he studies the case papers, which were formally handed over by police yesterday.

The handover marks the beginning of the next chapter in the investigation, and will allow the authorities to make a decision over whether the McCanns will face charges.

Unconfirmed reports claimed the McCanns' rented villa would also be thoroughly searched.

Uniformed and maritime police were contacted on Friday and put on standby to conduct searches at specific locations.

One area pinpointed was believed to be south of the Ocean Club - the holiday complex where the McCanns were staying.

Hi, the DNA issue really is not that important...if they have Madeleine, they can produce all the DNA they want.

(In fact someone stopped us soon afger her dissapearence and asked us about the likeness) It makes me so sad and angry that you are being put under this strain, I dont believe for a second that you did this to your baby. 'Police Match Madeleine DNA To Hire Car'

Portuguese police say they have found firm DNA evidence that the body of Madeleine McCann was in the boot of the family's hire car five weeks after she went missing, sources have told Sky News.

Sky crime correspondent Martin Brunt, speaking from Portimao, said police were "adamant" they had found the most "damning" evidence yet implicating either one or both of the McCanns in their daughter's death.

The evidence came in blood samples returned from the Forensic Science Service in Birmingham.

"Police say it is the most damning evidence that has been returned by the tests," Brunt said.

"It shows, as far as they are concerned, the presence of Madeleine's body in the car five weeks after she disappeared."

He continued: "The evidence suggests very strongly that it was not that her DNA had been transferred from clothing or from a cuddly toy.

"The allegation is that the DNA shows a full match of 99%. According to police, it shows the presence of Madeleine's body in the boot of the family's hire car five weeks after she disappeared."

He said the sample of blood sent to the Forensic Science Service in Birmingham carried three matches of Madeleine's DNA.

Two were partial matches that came from the car and the windowsill of the family's holiday apartment.

The third was the full match from the boot of the car.

Meanwhile, papers outlining any evidence against Gerry and Kate McCann will be passed to the Public Prosecutor in Portugal, probably on Tuesday.

With the couple back in their home in Rothley, Leicestershire, the prosecutor will consider whether to lay any charges.

He will be considering the circumstances surrounding Madeleine's disappearance on May 3, Portuguese police spokesman Olegario Sousa added.

Brunt said the prosecutor had a number of options and may call for more evidence or advise on the investigation.

McCanns deny harming their child

Family spokesman Brian Kennedy, who is Madeleine's great uncle, said of the family: "They are holding up extremely well."

The Portimao-based prosecutor, Jose Cunha de Magalhaes e Meneses, will look at the DNA evidence as well as the statements given by the McCanns to see if there is a case against the couple.

Chief Inspector Sousa said Portuguese police decided to pass the file on to the prosecutor despite not having all the results from forensic tests being carried out in Birmingham.

The samples were taken from the McCanns' holiday apartment and hire car.

The McCanns have been told they could be called back to Portugal "at any time".

Under Portuguese law the couple could keep their arguido - suspect - status for up to eight months, although the prosecutor could decide to extend that to a year.

Portuguese detectives appear to be working on the theory that Mrs McCann killed her daughter by accident and covered up the death by claiming she was abducted.

According to reports in Portugal, police are to make new searches as part of the investigation.

Allgarve Madeleine Manuel Pinho Mccann Robert Murat Romigen Rui Pedro Second Life. we have info on all these names except the last two. Rui Pedro mendonca is a portuguese boy who disappeared when he was 11 years old in 1998. Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents. I may visit this 3-D world and see what i can dig up ! val

I HOPE SHE HASN'T BEEN KILLED, BUT IT'S NOT LOOKING GOOD, IF YOU STILL DON'T THINK THE MCCANNS ARE GUILTY AND THEY DO FIND A BODY IT MEANS THE POLICE AND OTHERS HAVE ENDED HER LIFE SO THEY CAN CHARGE THE MCCANNS.

The church which provided sanctuary for Kate and Gerry McCann is about to become the focus of the search for their daughter's body.

Police and forensic teams are preparing to go into Our Lady of the Light Roman Catholic church in Praia da Luz as part of a renewed attempt to find Madeleine - or any clues to her disappearance.
